Imagine this…. plan an entire wedding for 80 people in five, yes just FIVE whole weeks. In that time source everything – your dress, shoes, jewellery, cake, stationary, (design it and print it), invite and get all those replies in for a Thursday wedding – a work day, plan a mini moon etc etc etc. Imagine doing all that without having even discussed it 6 weeks earlier!
That is what these two gorgeous people did. Having been together for almost ten years they decided on a whim to seal their love on the most romantic day of the year. Along with the help of the brilliant staff at Chatsworth and after the most exciting, and sometimes stressful few weeks of their lives they pulled it off spectacularly.
Rachael and Scott I take my hat off to you, you were completely fabulous and we felt so privileged to be a part of such a brilliant happy wedding!

Rachael & Scott’s I Do Details…
Dress
My dress was from Vivien of Holloway in London, but was ordered online. I knew I wanted a 50s style dress and love the glamour of that whole era. My dress was a 1950s halter-neck ivory satin circle dress with a lace overlay. I also got a full petticoat to wear underneath, and the matching bolero. A friend lent me a white waist belt which went perfectly.
Shoes
The shoes were Vivienne Westwood Melissa Red Skyscraper Glitter Heels. I have such tiny feet and struggled to get them in the right size, but they were worth the wait! With wearing a shorter length dress I just had to have a shoe to die for! I also had a pair of red flats with a red glitter bow on for the evening from Ted Baker.
Accessories
My main piece of jewellery was a pearl necklace with a ruby clasp borrowed from my friend Rosie. They were her Grandma’s so felt really special. My hair pins, earrings and bracelet were from Accessorize. I also had a sequined red heart-shaped bag from Top Shop for my evening essentials.
Hair
My hair was done by a friend and hairdresser, Viv Pinnington. She gave me a 50s glam look with lots of volume and curls.
Makeup
Was by Lauren from the Relaxation Den on Ecclesall Road. I took advantage of their great bridal makeup offer and Lauren seemed to get what I wanted straight away. I also got my nails done here the day before; I had red glitter gel nails applied that matched my shoes perfectly.
Flowers
Our flowers were done by the gardeners at Chatsworth. Mick and Faye did an amazing job considering we didn’t give them much to go on! Beautiful velvet-like red roses (it was Valentine’s Day after all) with creamy freesias, with roses for buttonholes and pale green orchids for corsages.
Cake
Our cake was made for us by a friend’s mum! Carol Wilkes was fantastic to work with. We had two tiers of Victoria sponge and the top tier was lemon drizzle. Carol also had a silk bouquet to match mine made as a topper which was simply beautiful.
Stationary
As it was such a last-minute wedding, we did not have time to send out traditional invitations. We telephoned most people and sent out an email invite made by our friend Rosie Eagleton with all the details on. Scott designed the table plan, place names and table names and we made them ourselves. Our theme was board games and we used the style of Monopoly to guide us. We asked our friend and origami artist Eloise West (her business is called Terrible Lizard) to make origami shirts out of Monopoly money which were placed on the place names as favours.
Suit
Scott’s Suit was from Alexandre Savile Row at House of Fraser, and his shoes were Loake. The ties were from TM Lewin.
Wedding Car
Scott’s dad organised a car to pick me up on the morning and drive me to Chatsworth. It was an amazing white Rolls Royce Phantom III 1937 from American Pie Limousines in Chesterfield.
Ring Box
Our friend Becca (Beba Bespoke) made us the most beautiful wooden double ring box with wood reclaimed from Endcliffe Park in Sheffield.

We love our photos, thank you so much! Everything was such a whirlwind but you were both so helpful and fun and guided us through. The images are amazing and really capture the fun we all had. We are so so happy with the pictures and can’t thank you both enough xxx
