I love winter weddings, there’s just something so incredibly romantic about them.  I love military weddings, there’s just something so incredibly romantic about those too. There we have it, two of my favorite types of weddings amid my favorite type of weather – I just LOVE the snow – happy bunny you’d think?

Oh no, I missed the whole darn thing. One week post op I was stuck at home feeling totally miserable and sorry for myself knowing I was missing out on such a gorgeous wedding. Simon showed me up good and proper too by handling the whole thing perfectly well on his own too, which of course I knew he would, which didn’t help my mood!

Victoria and Scottie are such a fab couple and I’m just so sorry to have missed it all.

Oh My Goodness, I am so unbelievably excited. We are so chuffed to have been featured on the coolest wedding blog for all discerning brides and grooms  - ‘Rock My Wedding’. The blog is run by the drop dead glamorous Charlotte O’Shea and Rebecca Norris whose ability to blog on a daily basis never fails to amaze me.

Rock My Wedding is absolutely jam packed to the rafters with anything and everything to do with weddings. It’s full of advice on how to find the best suppliers, how to save yourselves a bunch of money, inspiration for themes and colours, and some of the funniest blogging you’ll find this side of wedding world!

It also has the full original blog of Charlottes own real life wedding ‘You Rock My World’ which any bride – to be or not – must read, it’s totally hilarious and makes you laugh and cry in turn.

Needles to say I’m a huge fan and so for one of our weddings to be featured on there is a real thrill for me. Many, many thanks to Katy and James for submitting all of their own words for the feature – we feel the same about you!!

Ok so think Winter Wonderland, Narnia, beautiful people, A.M.A.Z.I.N.G details, freezing cold weather, GORGEOUS bride and groom and you have the fabulous wedding of Lucinda and Oliver which we were lucky enough to photograph just before Christmas.  We have also photographed Lucinda’s twin sister Annabel and older sister Clare’s weddings so we were very excited to be involved in this wedding too. It was my last wedding before going in for my knee op and I was hoping for a good ‘do’. Mrs H surpassed herself and the whole thing was spectacular.  It was just magical.

Lucinda is a hat designer and designed and made all of the bridesmaid’s head-dresses, her mum’s headpiece and I have no doubt many of the guests’ too! She makes some of the most amazing fascinators I’ve ever seen, truly gorgeous. Check her out at http://www.hostiehats.co.uk/

  • A friend told me to come and have a look at your site – I am very glad I did ! These photos are stunning – they make me want to get married all over again, providing you will come and do the shots. Thank you for sharing.

  • Oliver and I cant thank you enough! We had such a super day and having you both there for the photos was just perfect as you feel like friends to us. You helped the day run so smoothly we barely remember having photos taken and you caught on camera such precious moments. We will now be able to relive the day through your beautiful albums, thank you x

We had an amazing day on Saturday in Cheshire with Louisa and Nick – just one word sums it up – gorgeous – simply gorgeous!  Pronovias gown, Louboutin shoes, absolutely beautiful bride, handsome (and funny) groom, gorgeous bridesmaids, perfect weather, fantastic guests. Need I go on?  We loved every minute of it. They were married in a lovely church and followed with a fabulous drinks reception and wedding breakfast at Mere Golf and Country Club. Here a some of my favorite images from the day (including one which is in twice but for the life of me I can’t work out how to remove it, luckily Louisa is beautiful to look at so it’s no chore!).

  • Hi Simon and Jo, we have just got back from Honeymoon and the sneak preview of these photos has certainly made it worthwhile us coming home…we can’t wait to see the rest!!! Thanks for making everything so easy on the day, we loved every minute of it and keep smiling remembering it all!!
    Thanks again!
P.s Jo – we saw lots of Heffalumps and Snuffalufaguses on Safari!!

  • Gorgeous!

I know of many brides who marry in high summer because they desperately want the very temperamental British weather to be at its best. Here’s a tip …… marry in the Autumn. The weather has been consistently good in September and October over the last few years and last Saturday was really no exception. With November within a hairs breadth the temperatures were in the late sixties. The glorious setting of Richmond, overlooking the Thames was just gorgeous and a perfect location for this fantastic couple. We loved them and had a brilliant time with them and all of their guests. Michelle and Jo win the prize this year for giggliest bridesmaids – hilarious!
