We have shot weddings at some beautiful places over the years but I can honestly say I don’t think any setting has ever taken my breath away like this one. Cressbrook Hall in Derbyshire is set in a valley with the most spectacular views and is quite honestly jaw dropping.
The house itself is so pretty and Jen and Martin had decided to hold their ceremony outside, which after the summer we have had was very brave indeed! But, the weather was absolutely perfect and they did marry outside in glorious sunshine amongst their nearest and dearest in a very special ceremony. Very occasionally I’ve seen brides or grooms get the giggles during a ceremony and it happened to Jen, so funny and sweet and so her.
All of the guests were treated to ice creams and Pimms and then a very relaxed BBQ in the gardens. The speeches followed, outside too, and then Jen sneaked off to transform herself from the epitomy of a demure English bride into a full on glamour puss ….. wow, she looked incredible!
We absolutely loved the whole day, all in all wedding perfection!

Wow, Jo and Simon what an amazing pair you are; you made our wedding day flow smoothly, taught us a little wedding etiquette and helped in every way you possibly could. We felt so at ease with you, you were like members of our family (maybe a little too much Simon!!).
We really wouldn’t change a thing so thank you so much for being a part of our wedding day, we’ll never forget it.
