Now I know I’ve said in the past that it doesn’t matter if it rains at weddings because it makes for a great atmosphere but sometimes I really, really don’t want it to rain at a wedding. Like, really don’t want it to rain because something special will be spoiled. Well that’s how I felt about Georgina and Morton’s wedding. The reception was to be held on Georgina’s family farm, at the top of a field with spectacular views. And they had planned to travel from the church to the farm on what can only be described as a labour of love. Georgina’s father had lovingly restored an old tractor to it’s former glory and it was fantastic, just immaculate and it would have been such a shame had they not been able to do that. The week running up to wedding I was glued to the weather reports and all hope seemed lost. We woke up on the morning of the wedding to very rumbly looking skies but in that odd way that wedding weather happens the sun shone brilliantly in all the right places and the whole thing went off without a hitch – fabulous!
We had a brilliant time and it was great to catch up with some old faces too – there were four of our previous couples at the wedding!!
Georgina and Morton are a fantastic couple, just lovely people and we were thrilled to be a part of such a happy day. Many, many congratulations to you guys!
