Alex and Stewart – Babbacombe Wedding

A wedding in our favourite part of the world would be a treat at the best of times but when its for two of the nicest people you could wish to meet it doesn’t get any better being a wedding photographer.

I knew from the very first email from Alex that we were going to get along. Then we met and discovered our mutual obsession for wedding blogs far and wide and that sealed the deal!

Alex poured her heart and soul into planning the wedding which took place in her home town of Babbacombe in Devon. They were married in a very romantic ceremony in one of the most beautiful churches. They followed with a  wedding breakfast at The Palace Hotel and then after a glorious trip to the beach the pair joined their guests again at Alex’s parents Morningside Hotel which sits right on Babbacombe Downs and has the most amazing views. They said they wanted the evening to be a real party and we left with the whole place jumping so I kind of think that’s what happened!

You were fabulous guys….. Thanks so much for making us feel so welcome, I want to do it all again!!!

Amy and Matt – Wedding Grey’s Court – York

I love a girl who’s ready on time. A girl who appreciates that it’s much better to be a cool, calm and collected bride with half an hour to spare before leaving for the ceremony than one who’s stressed, sweating and not enjoying it like she should be. It doesn’t take long to get great shots of you and the girls when you are ready, maybe 10-15 minutes max but it’s so worth it if you can be organized.

I  love this time of the day as the excitement builds, the emotion is tangible and it’s less than an hour before IT happens. Amy was cool, calm and collected with bells on…. and furthermore she was up for it! She worked it like a fashion model, and wow did she look A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! Totally loved her.

We fell in love with Amy and Matt when we met them last year.  They are just the most ‘together’ couple. They obviously love each other massively; they finish each others sentences and giggle at their own little jokes. They look deep into each others eyes and you can just sense that they adore each other.

Their wedding was perfect in every way from the coolest colour theme to the amazing venue Grey’s Court in York , the setting next to York Minster and all the cool little ideas they had, including one of the cutest cakes ever by the brilliant Rachel Edwards and home made jam and lemon curd favours by Amy’s mum! The whole thing was styled to perfection  and I just loved it.

Totally LOVED it.

You were amazing guys……..

Lynsey and Barrett – Wiltshire Wedding

I am not afraid to say that weddings often make me cry and I just get very emotional about them, mostly holding myself together with only the odd lip tremble.

Lynsey and Barrett’s B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L wedding at The Rectory Hotel in Malmesbury was one of the most emotional weddings I think we have ever photographed. The amount of happy tears shed by this amazing couple and their 32 guests surpassed all!

It was the most gorgeous, intimate affair which Lynsey had planned and styled to perfection. Every exquisite little detail was made with the most unbelievable attention to detail.  Hand made vintage button holes, personalized napkins, THE most beautiful table plan and menus, button studded crochet doilies….. and a million other adorable little things all designed by the fabulously talented Gemma Nemer at http://www.frooly.com/thebuttontin and which Lynsey and her hens made on the hen do.  Flowers just filled the place and they all looked like they had been hand picked that morning and dotted around in vintage vases although I know, as I saw Rachel from www.thefreshflowercompany.com putting it all together that it actually took an amazing amount of hard work to make them look so effortlessly beautiful.

Finally THE DRESS ….. OMG THE DRESS. I loved it, it was simply perfection for the wedding and for Lynsey who wore it with such sophisticated aplomb I was almost sick with envy. And Barrett made my year with his linen jacket, bow tie and brogues!

Love you guys…… you were amazing.

Oh dear I think I overdid it with the superlatives again but I just can’t help myself.

You guys are just amazing and we can’t thank you enough for the all the hard work put in to each shot. The story of our wedding has been captured perfectly with every single detail recorded for future reference, which fills me with great joy (and a tear or two). Your professionalism and absolute commitment to the cause is completely beyond belief and on top of it you are both fantastic people and i am proud to call you our friends………

Alex & Rob – The Maynard – Wedding

We’ve all fallen in love on holiday whilst being seduced by the sun and too many Mojito’s haven’t we, but I bet not many of us can boast the fact that we went on to marry our holiday romance!  Alex not only did that but she also upped sticks and moved countries too to be with the love of her life and their romance was sealed and set in stone on an auspicious day in April. Whilst the rest of the world were concerning themselves with a certain other wedding we had a fantastic time at The Maynard Arms with Alex and Rob and their wonderful friends and family.

I loved their ‘Prop & Pose’ idea with crowns and tiaras and ermine edged cloaks – the perfect little nod to Wills and Kate………. Amazing day!

Peter & Jane – Wedding Chatsworth House

Love is sweet wherever you are in life and this very intimate wedding was a joy to photograph. I am sure Jane won’t mind me saying that she was more than a little apprehensive at being the centre of attention but I think in the end the sheer joy of the occasion overrode any insecurities and she enjoyed every moment of it!

Peter was the epitome of the cat who got the cream and who can blame him…….an amazing day with his new wife and their wonderful families.

Many congratulations to you both and thank you so much for inviting us to be a part of your special day.

p.s We had to do do a little bit of magicking to relieve Chatsworth of the carrier bag effect it is currently sporting  - thank heavens for photoshop!!!

” Jo & Simon these are absolutley fan….bloomin….tastic. We will be up all night forwarding them to EVERYONE we know. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!”
