Maternity Photography – Laine

Gorgeousness comes in many forms to me… late summer sun, snuggly blankets, fairy lights, double cream, the smell of new born babies, warm sand under your feet, the Amalfi Coast, falling snow, gluhwein, puppies and L.A.I.N.E!

We were lucky enough to photograph Laine and Danny’s wedding back in 2010 (see it here) and she was quite honestly one of the most gorgeous brides known to man. She has something not usually associated with such beauty, complete and utter unaffectedness. She is just a fabulously lovely person, not an ounce of ego in sight. We have become friends and now she is going to have a baby, very soon, like next week soon so yesterday she came over to see me for some maternity photographs and my god she looks even better than she did before!!!!

I think the word is blooming……….here she is in all her glory.

p.s The dog is the one and only Douglas/Bouglas/Beasley/Buggie/Woogie/Woo (no wonder he’s neurotic) he loved her too and wanted to get in on the act!

The Baker’s

I know we have turned down portraits this year as we decided that we just couldn’t really find the time during wedding season to do them, so I am sorry to those of you who we said no to. However, Lisa and Dean and their gorgeous kids were given a Lifestyle Shoot by Katie and James (one of our all time favourite couples) as a present for hosting their fabulous wedding a couple of years ago. Lisa and Dean have only just been able to organise the shoot and here are the results. We had a fantastic afternoon with them at their gorgeous home. She really won’t like me saying this as she is the most humble of people but Lisa is an inspirational person and after a very tough couple of years she’s back on top and her family are a credit to her…. what an amazing person she is!

I know I have been a little quiet on my blog of late – just so much to do and so little time to do it in! I am off in to hospital this weekend for a knew knee – eeek so I promise the blog will be all up to date soon when I am imprisoned!! The Family!

I absolutely love autumn, almost my favorite time of year, although those who know me know that I love freezing cold winter days the most, preferably with some snow on the ground and a gentle breeze whistling around my ears. Anyway I digress. Last week we spent the afternoon with these gorgeous folks, my very good friend Sue and her sister Kate, their hubbies and their children. They wanted a family portrait as a special present for their parents. The weather was absolutely glorious, the falling leaves were just beautiful and Amelia and Benjamin turned out to be two of the most photogenic kids we’ve come across which makes life a lot less difficult!! Here’s a sneak preview…….
