Claire and Mike – Wedding at Wentworth Castle

Sometimes by tummy turns over when I have first sight of a dress and this time it did a great big somersault. Claire’s Jesus Peiro gown was sublime. Simplicity in itself, yet to die for different at the same time.  I hardly noticed the Louboutins and that’s saying something for me!

Claire and Mike live in Canada, they met whilst travelling and fell in love along the way. So they had the nothing less than huge task of trying to plan a wedding from 4000 miles away. They did it with aplomb, every detail was simply beautiful.

The venue was incredible, I can’t believe we have never been there before… Wentworth Castle, just the most amazing place for romantic shots.

Thanks so much for asking us to be a part of your day…. We LOVED it!

Gemma and Shaun – Wedding at Thornbridge Hall

Pretty, Pretty, Pretty overload!!

I absolutely adore this wedding. I’m a sucker for anything pretty, anything grey and anything hole punched and this wedding had it all. Gemma single handedly styled and produced the whole gorgeous affair and should be doing this for a living, she’s a very talented girl.

I loved the gorgeous dress and perfect flowers, the beautiful light in the bedroom and the silver Jimmy Choo’s, the Jenny Packham bracelet and the ice grey Dessy maids one of which was the tiniest bridesmaid ever, just four weeks old and a complete professional!!

The ceremony was in my favourite church – St Johns Ranmoor and the reception at gorgeous Thornbridge Hall , a perfect combo!

All in all – summer wedding perfection!

Kathy and Mark – Chatsworth House Wedding

So we were off to Chatsworth House to photograph two beautiful ice dancers at the always beautiful Chatsworth House. At the moment the house is undergoing a very necessary refurbishment which means that photography is a little bit limited in some places, however there are still endless opportunities for gorgeous shots throughout the gardens. Unless of course it rained ……….

And what did it do…….. it rained. As they came out of church the heavens opened!

However, true to form Kathy and Mark just smiled and giggled the whole way through it, laughing in the face of the big black clouds. We did manage to get a shot on the bridge as the rain held off for 5 minutes and thankfully we were able to retouch the house back in from a previous image – looks much nicer than the white plastic me thinks. It was just too cold and windy to do many shots in the gardens so we headed off to the Sculpture Gallery which, although not the first choice for photographs, is actually gorgeous….. and a strategically placed bouquet on a naughty statue caused some fantastic giggles!

We had such a fantastic day with these two, that are brilliant fun and somehow I think we’ll be seeing more of them in the future – I really hope so.

Congratulations – you were amazing. xx

Play Time!

Stancliffe Hall – Prepare To Swoon

We have worked in the wedding industry for a long time and have seen some beautiful venues. Once in a while something very special comes along that just makes you stop in your tracks. Last year were lucky be able to photograph a lovely 21st birthday party which was held in the grounds of a family home in Derbyshire. We were very excited to hear back then about their plans for Stancliffe Hall to become a brand spanking new wedding venue. They told us of their dream of opening up the family home as a very exclusive wedding venue to discerning couples. Well we had a call back in January to ask if we could go along to do some pr shots for the website and brochure and we could do little but swoon at the now completed project.

I think I’ll just let the pictures do the talking……

Stancliffe Hall opens it’s doors for the very first time this Saturday for an exclusive  wedding open day and you are invited. The event has been organised by the fab Lydia and Abi at Save The Date and we will be there along with other hand picked suppliers to chat to everyone.

If you are interested in attending you must pre register here: http://stancliffehall.eventbrite.com/

We’d love to see you there – 10.30am – 2.30pm!
