Claire and Jamie – Whirlowbrook Hall Wedding

Forgive me if this post is a little longer than usual but I just couldn’t stop!

Two reasons:  1) Claire is INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL (she has no idea how much)  and 2) I’ve had a couple of weekends without weddings so I’ve had a little more time and well I just got carried away!

The whole affair was adorable. Claire’s Maggie Sottero dress was beautiful, I do love a ball gown silhouette. The flowers were completely stunning created by the very talented Jo Price and we got to go to one of our favorite venues and work with some favorite people at Whirlowbrook Hall.

But most of all Claire and Jamie are two of the loveliest people you could wish to meet; they were just a joy to be around. They have wonderful families and they are all extremely close which meant that I spent most of the day blubbing.

All in all complete wedding perfection!

Ursula and Andrew – Loch Lomond Wedding

We are incredibly lucky to do what we do. How many people can say that they spend their lives photographing the happiest of occasions, spending time with lovely people having the time of their lives?

Sometimes we get to go to the most amazing places too, as we did a few weeks ago for Ursula and Andrews wedding at the gorgeous Cameron House Hotel on Loch Lomond in Scotland – it was simply beautiful. They are a fantastic couple and Andrew, who’s Canadian, got to live out his dream of marrying in the land of his ancestors and to wear the tartan of the O’Connor clan. He also got to fulfill another dream ……racing across the Scottish hills in the guise of William Wallace – Braveheart style with his own sword and everything – hilarious!!

Ursula is the sister if one of my favorite brides ever – Karen (that’s her in the red dress) who’s now mum to three of the cutest kids on the planet. So great to catch up with her and Colin after 6 years! I’m happy to say that Ursula insisted on a bottom shot of the boys in kilts, as Karen did, but I’m far too discreet to publicize that here!

Congratulations guys and thank you so much for inviting us to be a part of such an amazing wedding, we loved it! xx

Published!

We are seriously excited to have two of our weddings featured in magazines this month. Thanks so much to Sam at Perfect Wedding and Alice at Wedding Ideas for contacting me, I’m hugely honoured.

Massive thanks too go to to Lynsey and Barrett and Kathy and Mark for being so gorgeous and giving us such beautiful weddings to photograph!

Hannah and Nick – Marquee Wedding

I sometimes think the word stunning can be a little over used in this industry but I can honestly say that this wedding stunned me. It was beautiful, faultless wedding prettiness. Gorgeous bride, swooningly handsome groom, Suzanne Neville dress, pretty, pretty bridesmaids, Gina shoes, Peonies – hundreds of them, glamorous guests, a surprise air display and the most brilliant entertainer who had the whole marquee jumping. In all of my years photographing weddings I’ve never seen anything quite like it!

Hannah and Nick were amazing, I loved them and Hannah’s parents gave a master class in the art of hospitality providing their guests with an amazing party I’m sure they will never forget …. I certainly won’t.

oh and it was fantastic to meet up with with one of our fave ever couples Helen and Stuart who were married a couple of years ago – http://www.shootphotography.info/2009/07/10/helen-and-stuart-2/xx

Nicola and Paul – Chatsworth Wedding

Sometimes when I photograph a wedding I get to see something very special. The sort of connection between a couple that makes you think that’s what it’s all about. Nicola and Paul have that connection. They adore each other, they are on the same level, and they need few words. They have a look, a touch, a reassuring togetherness and complete happiness in each others company. It’s what we all strive for isn’t it?

It was such a privilege to be there for such a small and intimate wedding at Chatsworth. I totally fell in love with them both and I love my job!

Oh and I loved that Paul wanted to bring his fishing rod….. a first for us!!
