Jayne and Clive – Wedding at Chatsworth

Last Friday took us to Chatsworth for the first of two weddings there last weekend. Jayne and Clive had planned an amazing day filled with fabulous touches and the most magnificent floral displays I’ve ever seen at Chatsworth. They wanted the wedding to be very much about the children and all their lovely guests and they had quite a few surprises up their sleeves for them. I loved the way that the guests were there to greet Jayne as she arrived in her carriage (to a couple of trumpeters of course) it was a bit of a lump in the throat moment for sure. Then following dinner they were all treated to some beautiful singing by The Kinder Children’s Choir  who were amazing and of whom Clive is Chairman. Then as if that wasn’t enough there was dancing to the jazz band and finally some flame throwers in the courtyard!

Amazing, we LOVED it!

Georgina and Morton – Wedding

Now I know I’ve said in the past that it doesn’t matter if it rains at weddings because it makes for a great atmosphere but sometimes I really, really don’t want it to rain at a wedding. Like, really don’t want it to rain because something special will be spoiled. Well that’s how I felt about Georgina and Morton’s wedding. The reception was to be held on Georgina’s family farm, at the top of a field with spectacular views.  And they had planned to travel from the church to the farm on what can only be described as a labour of love. Georgina’s father had lovingly restored an old tractor to it’s former glory and it was fantastic, just immaculate and it would have been such a shame had they not been able to do that. The week running up to wedding I was glued to the weather reports and all hope seemed lost. We woke up on the morning of the wedding to very rumbly looking skies but in that odd way that wedding weather happens the sun shone brilliantly in all the right places and the whole thing went off without a hitch –  fabulous!

We had a brilliant time and it was great to catch up with some old faces too – there were four of our previous couples at the wedding!!

Georgina and Morton are a fantastic couple, just lovely people and we were thrilled to be a part of such a happy day. Many, many congratulations to you guys!

Toni and Ross – Wedding at Blenheim Palace Part 2

So they married in the amazing Orangery, in a ceremony filled with emotion and lots of laughing in true Toni & Ross style!

Then it was outside onto the Italian Terrace for cocktails and canapes followed by the best bit of all – a buggy ride around the grounds of the palace.

Toni and Ross, thank you so much for your kind words, you made a little dream come true for me. We wish you many, many years of love and happiness and lots of laughter. x

Toni and Ross – Wedding at Blenheim Palace Part 1

There are some venues which have been on my wish list for years but the opportunity to photograph there has just never arisen. Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire has been pretty high on that list for as long as I can remember as this was where Si and I went on our ‘first date’ ……. awwww! Its just a really special place for us.

So earlier this year when a mail dropped in my inbox asking if we were free to photograph a wedding there my heart stopped and I stared at it for a while and then opened the diary. Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeee we were free!! To say I looked forward to this wedding is an understatement of mammoth proportions, I was quite literally beside myself.

Toni and Ross are two of the most fabulous people ever, personality in bucket loads and gorgeous to boot. Add in some amazing touches like, parasols along the aisle, killer cocktails, ice cream canapés and an ice sculpture vodka luge and the whole think was just jaw dropping.

Olivia and Richard – Wedding at The Star Inn Harome

It’s no secret Si and I love our food and we particularly love weddings which take place in great foodie places.   We were in for such a treat at the fabulous wedding of Olivia and Richard, two gorgeous people who we just loved spending time with. Their wedding was held at the ‘Star Inn’ at Harome in North Yorkshire, famous for its amazing food and Michelin starred as a result.

We arrived early to find a really nervous and very beautiful Olivia. Gorgeous Caroline Castigliano dress hanging there like a dream and the most beautiful diamond pendant draped in a box, given to her by Richard that morning – swoon!

They were married in a really beautiful church ceremony in Helmsley and then it was back to The Star for fabulous canapés and champagne before the gastronomic delights of the wedding breakfast which included some of the funniest speeches I’ve heard in a long time. I managed to blub uncontrollably again as Richard had the best surprise ever up his sleeve for Olivia – their beloved dog Teale had been waiting in the wings all day to join them and wasn’t  in kennels after all much to Olivia’s huge relief!
