Gemma and Paul married on Saturday at the very lovely Sandhole Oak Barn in Cheshire. What a fabulous day it was too. They are two of the loveliest people you could wish to meet and we absolutely loved our day with them and their brilliant guests.
There was an extra special little guest too – Gemma and Paul are having a baby in the autumn, how totally wonderful that your baby was just a few inches away when you slipped those rings on your fingers …….. I make no excuses for blubbing at that!
I adore this family! We have the very great pleasure of photographing the wedding of Andy and Melissa in a few weeks time and I can hardly wait. We fell in love with them all on spot when we met last year and I have been so looking forward to the wedding coming around. Last week we spent a few hours with them to get to know the kids a little bit and to make sure they would feel a little more comfortable on the day. We had a brilliant time with them and Si and I now officially want to be adopted! Watch out for the wedding in a few weeks time……. It’s going to be amazing.
Wow….. just arrived home after a long day and logged on for my daily dose of Rock My Wedding to find that those amazing girls at the best wedding blog on the planet have used some of our images in their post “ How to choose a wedding photographer” that is just so lovely and has made my day – thank you soooo much!
The images they have chosen are from one of our favorite weddings of last year, Katie and James’s. They married in a tippee in the middle of a field and it was all about them and the people they love. They purposely chose not to marry in a traditional wedding venue because they absolutely wanted their wedding to be personal, to be about them and they pulled it off in a spectacular way. It threw it down every bit of the day, absolutely threw it down but it mattered not one bit – the love and joy they felt for each other and their families was unbelievably moving and we will feel eternally privileged to have documented one of the best days of their lives.
Perfect excuse for me to blog about them again…….
