Victoria’s 21st Birthday Bash

Right on with the show, here’s what we’ve been up to over the past few weeks…

So, there are birthday parties and there are BIRTHDAY PARTIES. There are venues and there are VENUES. There are marquees and there are MARQUEEEEEEES. Oh my word, we were so excited to be asked to cover this amazing event. It was the 21st birthday party of the very beautiful Victoria, hosted by her very glamorous mum Deborah at the unbelievably gorgeous venue – Stancliffe Hall in the Peak District. Honestly this newly refurbished venue is nothing short of amazing and is set to become THE wedding and event venue in the area – watch this space! The whole thing was organized and managed by the hugely talented Jacquie Andrassy who’s weddings and events are always phenomenal – she is a complete star.

Victoria is a budding opera singer and was treated to a brilliant surprise by her mum – a personal appearance by the ever so fabulous Lesley Garret.

The Three Waiters and the saxophonist Rosemary Quaye  made sure the guests were entertained throughout dinner too.

What a treat!

p.s  I make no apologies for all the superlatives!!

I’m back!!!!!

Woooo hooooo!!!  After 4 months of blood, sweat and tears (literally!!) I’m back to work and LOVING it.  I have missed photographing people so much, I have missed working on my images and blogging about them. Before I blog any new stuff I need to say a few things ….

Simon, over these past few months you have loved me, cared for me, cried with me and kept me sane. I love you; you are the best husband anyone could wish for.  Thank you for being there for me, I am so glad to be back in the real world and working with you again.

Mum and Dad, your daily calls have spurred me on, knowing how I felt, you have encouraged me and given me a yardstick to measure my progress. On the days when I was a complete wimp and feeling totally sorry for myself you still managed to make me feel better.

To all my friends and family, thank you for all your wonderful calls, texts, pressies and support, you are all amazing and I couldn’t have got through it without you – thank you.  Gill, you too have been there for me on a daily basis, keeping me sane and in touch with the real world even though you are hundreds of miles away in France – thank you.

Ed and Paul Wedding

I am well into recovery with my knee now and I can finally see light at the end of the tunnel, however I am still missing the world of weddings so much. I thought that now seemed the perfect time for me to revisit some of my favorite weddings which happened before my blogging started and add them here for all to see!

This is one of our most gorgeous weddings ever. Ed and Paul married at Hassop Hall in Derbyshire on a very, very wet and windy weekend in February. So, no chance for outside photographs. Not to worry though, Hassop Hall is the perfect winter wedding venue as it always looks and feels so beautifully warm and cosy.

Edwina was the chicest of brides  – AMAZING Jenny Packham Gown and of course some DARLING Gina Shoes!
