It was off to Hertfordshire for Kate and Andy’s wedding at the weekend. The weather was absolutely beautiful, but maybe a little too sunny for us photographers! Kate looked so beautiful as did her gorgeous sisters Clair and Andrea. Theobalds Park, is the perfect wedding venue, everywhere you point a camera there’s a great backdrop.

Yesterday we were thrilled to be invited to the Annabel Williams Awards Ceremony held at the Getty Image Gallery in London. We were there to be presented with our award for our win in the ‘Best Wedding Album’ category. We met some really fantastic photographers who we bonded with over Pimms and Champers later in the pub! Gill Maheu,a really talented photographer who was runner up in the ‘Best Portrait Album’ and had travelled all the way from the French Alps to be there.  I have to give her special thanks for contacting me prior to the event and making me feel so much more relaxed on the day. Frankly, I was terrified and meeting up with Gill beforehand just made it so much easier. She brought along her brother Rick for support , a really lovely guy, if a little camera shy! We also met Sarah Wright a fantastic photographer who won the ‘Best Portrait Album’ award and also John Archibald who had been pipped at the post and was awarded runner up in the ‘Children’ category – his photograph was brilliant and frankly we all wished he had won.

The ‘Photographer of the Year Award’ was won by an amazing photographer from Cyprus called Sofie Louca. She had won the category for best ‘Teenagers/Adults Image’ and was also runner up in the ‘Best Wedding Album’ category. We think she thouroughly deserved being named the overall winner.

Helen and Stuart are marrying in July at our favorite church – Ranmoor in Sheffield - it’s a photographers dream. The reception will be held at The Maynard Arms in Derbyshire and we met up there recently for their pre wedding shoot. We had a great time with them – can’t wait for the wedding now!.

 Zeinab & Adam were married in a beautifully romantic ceremony in New York’s Central Park, just the two of them with Adam’s brother as witness. They then had a party for all their friends and family on their return. We  had such a lovely time with them, they have such a brilliant bunch of friends.   Two of which are Helen and  Neil, who’s wedding we photographed and filmed last year. They recommended us to Zeinab and Adam and we’ll be seeing them again next weekend when we are filming the wedding of Katrina and Mat some more friends of their’s – watch this space!
